You're able to function in daily life in general, but inside you notice patterns that don’t feel good, such as:

People-pleasing
*
Overthinking
*
Shame or self-doubt
*
Emotional numbness or disconnection
*
Using alcohol, drugs, food, or distraction to cope

You may have already tried to push yourself to think more positively or behave differently, but when it doesn’t work or doesn't last, you end up feeling guilty, frustrated, or even hopeless.

Often, the recurrence of these issues isn’t because of a lack of effort or willpower. They're tied to unconscious emotional patterns which can have a huge influence on our behaviour until we become aware of their existence.

How I work
In our sessions, my focus is on creating a warm and understanding space where you don’t have to perform or pretend to be okay.

I draw from modalities like person-centred therapy, emotionally focused therapy, ACT, and mindfulness. Instead of just trying to force change from the outside, we explore what is happening internally, and how this is shaping your thoughts, behaviours, and relationships.

I first prioritise helping people recognise the patterns that are keeping them stuck because so often we don’t notice our patterns, we just react to what life throws at us. Once we’ve built this awareness, we can use different strategies to create more resilience to difficult thoughts and feelings, and make changes to life.
This approach often leads people to notice that they:

Feel less driven by shame and self-criticism
*
Develop healthier boundaries and better relationships
*
Reduce their numbing behaviours and emotional avoidance
*
Make choices that feel more authentic and not so influenced by anxiety
